2006-09-20 [Adaman]: That's your decision, entirely. Whether or not anyone is pleased by your entree or non-entree, it makes no difference. Besides, its always better to do something than not to do something.

2006-09-20 [Silverbullet]: Living to sell your art isn't the same as living to make art. Idially, both would be the same, but as Adaman said, you sometimes have to make small adjustments so that people will like your art enough to buy it.
Here we're dealing with a contest, which is almost the same. However, we aren't living off the profit made from winning, so we can try to do our best without really caring whether people will vote for us or not. The variety of people voting will ensure that the best wins. (As long as the majority of voters refrain from popularity votes and pitty votes, that is.)
Personally, I'm like Veltz here. I enter to draw. If I win anything is beside the point (though a welcome perk XD).
2006-09-20 [Veltzeh]: Yep. Well, it's not ALWAYS better to do something than not... I for example like to have a little of totally "wasted" time doing absolutely nothing, because my brain tends to make up nice things during that time. Maybe that's not "not doing something" though, but well. X)
